PASTOR JAMES G. STARR

Pastor James G. Starr is an ordained Assemblies of God minister, a Certified Chemical Dependency Specialist (CDS), and an experienced recovery mentor with more than 20 years of ministry experience.

His calling to ministry and passion for recovery come together in Victorious Recovery, where he seeks to help individuals find freedom, healing, and hope through Jesus Christ and the principles of Twelve Step recovery.

Pastor James believes that people struggling with addiction and destructive behaviors need more than judgment or quick answers. They need a safe place to be honest, a community where they can be heard, practical tools for recovery, and a foundation of faith that points them toward Jesus Christ.

A HEART FOR RECOVERY

Pastor James has spent years walking alongside people facing addiction, life challenges, and the consequences of destructive choices.

His approach to recovery is both Christ-centered and practical. Through Twelve Step teaching, process groups, mentoring, encouragement, and biblical truth, he helps individuals take personal responsibility, confront unmanageable patterns, and take the next step toward a healthier and more purposeful life.

He believes recovery is not about perfection. It is about progress, willingness, honesty, and continuing to show up.
